How to Avoid Email being Classified as Junk Mail

Most email software now includes Junk Mail Filtering where messages are analysed for certain characteristics which may indicate that the message is likely to be unwanted.

To avoid this happening with the Club's Electronic Newsletters (which may contain important information regarding upcoming events on training cancellations), we recommend that you configure your email software to recognise emails from the LADASC.COM domain as being "Safe". This can often be acheived by adding the email domain name or specific email addresses to a "white-list" of allowed senders or by adding the addresses into your email contacts list.

Below are more detailed instructions for how this can be acheived for various email platforms:

hotmail.com, hotmail.co.uk, live.com, live.co.uk

Microsoft Outlook 2003

Microsoft Outlook 2007

Microsoft Outlook 2010

For all other email software, we recommend that you look at your application specific help files for detailed help.

Additionally, whichever email client you use, there is also the possibility that the Internet Service Provider blocks the emails before they are even sent to your PC.
This is a particular problem for people with @btinternet.com addresses. For these people, we would suggest that you log into the email web interface (http://mail.yahoo.co.uk) and add the club email addresses as contacts in your address book.

Note that the main source of club email communications will be clubsecretary@ladasc.com.
