Another Wyvern league campaign looks set to end in glory for Ledbury & District Swimming Club as the team enjoyed a 3rd straight win. Despite resting 10 swimmers involved in the county championships the club ran out 16 point winners on the night, the biggest margin of victory this season.
Of the 53 races Ledbury recorded top 3 placings in 44 showing and impressive strength in depth. Swimmers also recorded 26 personal bests from these swims with the most impressive coming from Ben Lavin who dropped 4 seconds in the 15/u 100m Breaststroke to go under 1.20 for the first time.
Other personal bests of note went to Brad Williams in the 50m Breaststroke who went 3 seconds faster, Leah Heath (15/u 100m Freestyle) who took 2 seconds off her previous best, and Elizabeth Thomas who continued her fine run of form by taking her 50m Butterfly time down to 36.20 seconds.
Putting in impressive performances and showing a brilliant example to the younger swimmers were junior captains Hannah Casewell (100m Breaststroke) and Peter Crocombe (50m Butterfly & 50m Breaststroke) taking wins in all their individual events.
All of the 10 year olds relays went unbeaten on the night including the girls team of Eleanor James, Lily Painter, Poppy Park and Caitlin Wild winning by 5 seconds in the Medley relay.
